FRIENDS COOKBOOK PROJECT

DIRECTIONS TO ENTER RECIPES ONLINE!

Dear Friend,
The Friends of the Sandown Public Library are preparing a taste-tempting custom cookbook featuring favorite recipes from Sandown residents and friends.  These cookbooks will be professionally published and contain special pages of interest, a table of contents, an index, helpful cooking hints, and recipe category dividers.   It is sure to be treasured for years to come.
Please submit 3-5 of your favorite recipes by January 30, 2012 so you can be represented in the cookbook.  Follow the instruction above. Your help in contributing recipes will ensure that our cookbook will be a big success.
THANK YOU!

Dedicated wife and mother of four, Dawn is secretary of the Friends group, involved with Sandown Girl Scouts and the Sandown PTA, We extend our heartiest congratulations to Dawn Mazur and her family for this well-deserved award!

Citizen of the Year 2009
In Memory of Hazel Marlow, our dear Friend who past away January, 2011.
As a member of the Friends for over 25 years, Hazel volunteered her time and talents at all of the fundraising events for the Friends. She made countless sandwiches and desserts for Town Meeting Luncheons, scooped ice cream at the Ice Cream Socials, sold books at Old Home Day celebrations, donated plants from her garden for the Plant Sale, and no matter what else needed to be done, Hazel Marlow was always there to help. She was a quiet, gentle person who believed in giving back to the community.

Dedicated volunteers such as Hazel Marlow who give a lifetime commitment to their community are rare and special individuals. Sandown was extremely fortunate to have such an individual. She was a role model for all of us.
